The Alta Collection presents a number of highly important original manuscripts written and signed by William Shakespeare's friends, colleagues, patrons of his acting company, dedicatees of his books, and possibly his lover “Mr W.H.” Also included here is a newly discovered manuscript fragment that may be in Shakespeare's own handwriting.
Also, we offer books that directly influenced Shakespeare's plays and might well have been found in his reading room. These volumes are exceedingly scarce, some survive only in two or three known copies.
