Hall was a staunch supporter of Henry VIII and the Tudor dynasty. His chronicle, posthumously published by Grafton, is a narrative of 15th-century English history from Henry IV to Henry VIII. Hall’s work was burnt for its uncompromising Protestantism under Queen Mary.
